The Struggle with Fungus
Fungal nails start off as a slight change to the nail, maybe some white or brown noted on the nail, but without immediate treatment it can grow into something a little trickier to care for.
Your Foot Care Nurse will assess, and recommend treatment as well as educate you on the changes you can make at home to encourage healing.

The Pain of Ingrown Toenails
Do you suffer with ingrown toenails? Have you considered a surgical removal? Try the non-surgical route first. With a proper nip and maintenance you can experience a different level of pain relief without the pain of full removal. Often incorrect cutting contributes to ingrowns, but is not limited to that.
There are a few things you can do at home until your foot care nurse arrives. Reach out for an appointment and quick tips to help with pain relief.

Corn and Hard Calluses
Corns and calluses can be painful and can alter your ability to be active, the best thing for you is to keep you on your feet.
Calluses are thickened skin to any aspect of the foot, often caused from friction and pressure.
Corns are often caused by pressure and can appear in different forms.
Stay away from any corn pad or treament that involves an acid especially if you are diabetic.
